Jessica Mikayla has an impressive resume that includes projects for Disney+, FX, Showtime, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix and more. She has been nominated for a 2024 NAACP Image Award and recently won a 2023 SOVAS Award. Both as a theatrical and voice over actor, Jessica is one of the leading up and coming talents in the industry. 

 

Jessica recently won the 2023 Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) Award for Outstanding Dubbing – International – TV or Streaming – Best Voiceover for Hawa, seen on Amazon Prime. Her voice can also be heard as ‘Western Honey’ in the animation series “LOL Surprise! Tots Road Trip” and “House of Surprises.” Additionally, she lends her voice to characters on “Stillwater,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “The Chi,” “Mindhunter,” and the Oscar-winning animated feature film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

 

In front of the camera, Jessica has landed roles on “Fresh Off the Boat,” “You’re the Worst” and “Diary of a Future President.” She has been nominated for a 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance in a Short Form Series for her work in Disney Launchpad Season 2. Fellow nominees include Kevin Hart and Leslie Jones.

 

Growing up in Compton, Jessica volunteers as a Children’s Church Leader discussing the need to stop gun violence and the importance of literacy in the inner city. Last year, she was named Rising Star Honoree by EmpowHer, the non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women as they strive to achieve their goals, fostering a collective journey of growth and success. This year Jessica will be their emcee and lead two voice-over workshops.
